Job description

Overview

Maintenance Electrician | Commercial Environments | Winchester & Surrounding Areas | £42.3K - £46.4K Base | OTE: £55-65K per annum | Paid Weekly.

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician / Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work on a mobile basis, carrying our planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs to electrical systems within a range of commercial environments across Winchester, Hampshire and Surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Planned Maintenance (PPM): Emergency lighting tests, fire alarm tests, PAT testing, control panel servicing etc.
• Reactive Maintenance: lamps, ballasts, sockets, circuits, temporary power supplies, transformers, power distribution, electrical components within and power supplies to HVAC & building services systems, installing / replacing electrical accessories i.e. maglocks etc.
• Quoted project works: wiring / re-wiring, LED upgrades, system upgrades, removal and replacement of wiring and electrical systems.
• Testing and Inspection (if qualified to do so): EICR, fixed wire testing etc.

Role / Package Summary

• Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
• Location: Winchester and Surrounding Areas (Up to 50 mile radius).
• Status: Permanent, PAYE position - Paid Weekly.
• Base Salary: £42,300 - £46,400 dependant on qualifications.
• Estimated annual earnings: £55,000 - £65,000.
• D2D travel paid after 30 minutes each way.
• Overtime rates: x1.5 rate for travel time / x2 rate for on-site hours.
• Call out rota: 1 in 4 weeks. Standby allowance + D2D at overtime rates per call out.
• Contracted Hours: 07:00am - 5:30pm including travel time. Estimated site hours: 08:00am - 4:30pm.
• Provided: Company van (business use), fuel card, uniform, phone etc.
• Company pension contribution.
• Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays.
• Company funded courses, training and up-skilling.
• Environments: Commercial - Pubs, Bars, Restaurants, Retail Stores, Nurseries, Care Homes, Dental Practises and Hotels etc.

Requirements

Essential / Must Have:

• Must be a fully qualified Electrician (ie: NVQ Level 3 / C&G 2330 Level 3 / C&G 2360 Part 2 or equivalent).
• Must have a UK driving license with under 9 points.

Desirable: Nice To Have:

• City and Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection (higher rate available for this qualification).
