A leading facilities management company is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for a full-time position at Norwich Hospital. You will ensure the hospital's building fabric and equipment are maintained to high standards, undertake repairs, and effectively communicate with staff and supervisors. Here at Serco, we are looking to provide a safe and efficient maintenance of the Building Fabric and equipment within the hospital as directed by Estates Supervisors and management.
To ensure that the Hospital Building, Fabric, Plant, Services and Equipment are maintained to a high standard to ensure continued efficiency, safety and reliability and to safeguard the future long‑term serviceability of the Estate as contractually required by Serco, Octagon and the Norfolk & Norwich NHS Trust
To always ensure safety. To always assess all aspects of tasks and take appropriate actions. To know when to request advice or assistance. To understand own limitations
To be able to communicate effectively with Peers, Supervisors and Managers within Serco. To be able to communicate politely with Trust Staff, i.e inform relevant people of work to be carried out and informing of work status and potential unavailability of areas, equipment or service. To understand the contractual relationship between Serco, Octagon and the Trust
