A local government authority in Warrington is seeking an experienced social worker to join their multi-agency child protection team. The role involves supporting investigations, facilitating decision-making meetings, and providing advice to staff and families. Candidates should have experience in child protection and court work, along with an enhanced DBS check. The position offers competitive salary, 26 days annual leave, and an attractive benefits package, with the opportunity to raise leave to 31 days after five years of service.
Our multi agency child protection team are a team of experienced social workers who specialise in protecting children and families. These social workers are called Lead Child Protection Practitioners (LCPPs), and they are part of the Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT). This team works closely with professionals from other fields, such as health, police, education, mental health, and other services.

We have an exciting opportunity here in Warrington for those who are experienced social workers with a passion for child protection to be part of our multi agency child protection team.
As part of the role you will be required to support social workers as they undertake child protection investigations. Your role will involve offering consultation, guidance and support to the workforce and directly to families. In addition you will be required to facilitate child protection decision making meetings in keeping with the changes brought about by the families first for children reform.
Experienced social worker with experience within child protection.
Experience in court work and attending court.
Experience in completing assessments for court.
Preferably qualification or experience in supporting less experienced members of staff.
Enhanced DBS check.
