Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity with a leading packaging company? At Coveris, we create and supply high-performance packaging for everyday products. We are committed to providing sustainable and innovative packaging solutions to ensure the safety, quality, and convenience of the products we use every day.

We have facilities across the UK and are looking for new talent to join our team in Burnley.

Key responsibilities as a Slitter Operator
  1. Operate high-speed Slitting Machinery in accordance with the conversion of flexible packaging.
  2. Carry out basic maintenance on the machine, such as lubrication and clean-downs.
  3. Challenge machine low run hours, speeds, waste levels, set-ups, etc.
  4. Conduct quality inspections and maintain administration in line with customer specifications and standards.
  5. Liaise with the Shift Manager to ensure engineering breakdowns are reported and fixed promptly, considering priorities.
  6. Ensure all machines have enough material to maximize uptime.
  7. Keep all paperwork up to date.
  8. Verify labeling accuracy and keep wrapping up to date.
  9. Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping at all times.
  10. Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Full training will be provided.

Shift Pattern

The attractive shift pattern involves working a mix of 12-hour day and night shifts, averaging 14 shifts per month.

Salary

Starting at £27,860, with potential salary increases as you progress through our bespoke training programme.
