Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is currently looking for Machine Operators to work in a drinks manufacturing facility in Bradford. The role involves maintaining the production process, ensuring quality control, and following safety standards. The position offers 12-hour shifts with competitive pay starting at £15.87 per hour, along with potential long-term permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • 5S trained or equivalent qualifications required.
  • Certification in Food Awareness and Hygiene is essential.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office is necessary.
  • Basic mechanical skills needed for autonomous maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Fault finding and low-level correction with pump and valve isolation.
  • Conducting chemical handling and error management on MES SCADA.
  • Performing audits and risk assessments.
  • Training team members on Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensuring hygiene standards using 5S principles.

Skills

Job description

We are currently looking for Machine Operators to work for a drinks manufacturer in the Bradford area. Working as part of a team to own the manufacturing process and to deliver the key performance objectives in the QCDSP framework, whilst maintaining the operational plant in the Ingredients Processing Centre.

Hours: 12 hour shifts 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am

Shifts: Continental shift pattern which involves working days, nights and weekends

Pay: £15.87 per hour

Overtime rates: Up to £24.42 per hour

Duration: Temporary ongoing LONG TERM, permanent opportunities available

Key responsibilities
  • Fault finding and low-level correction Pump and valve isolation.
  • MES SCADA error management Chemical handing and awareness
  • Mechanical maintenance basic level (AM)
  • System auditing and reporting
  • Performing dynamic risk assessments
  • Compilation of Standard Operating procedures
  • Project team involvement and delivery as required.
  • Continuous Improvement of plant and process
  • Ensure the accurate transfer and consumption of raw materials between onsite storage locations, using FIFO, Batch management principles, utilising the site IT system.
  • Manufacture syrups using standard recipes, utilising the Manufacturing Execution Systems and SCADA systems.
  • Train and support team development in the creation and use of Standard Operating Procedures. To utilise the MES and SCADA system to monitor the operational plant and resolve any error logs/system faults, compile fault log.
  • Own and deliver key performance objectives using the QCDSP manufacturing framework and sustain the plant performance using the appropriate Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.
  • Maintain the hygiene standards of the Ingredient Process Centre using 5S principles.
  • Control the cleaning of downstream equipment liaising with external manufacturing team leaders.
