Machine Builder

Location : Bolton

Salary : From £31,000 per annum (based on £14.00 per hour) + overtime + annual bonus

Hours : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm

Job Type : Full-time, permanent

A growing engineering business in Bolton is looking for a Machine Builder to join their expanding production team. The company designs and manufactures high-quality machinery for the drinks industry, with all systems built and tested in-house.

This is a hands‑on position, ideal for someone with strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and pride in producing high‑quality work.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components to specification
  • Prepare subassemblies, materials, and tools required for each project
  • Carry out quality control checks throughout the build process
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised workshop
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company standards
Requirements
  • Experience in mechanical or electrical assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in workmanship
  • Reliable, motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Able to commute or relocate to Bolton
Desirable
  • Relevant engineering qualifications or apprenticeships
  • Experience in machine or equipment build assembly
  • Driving licence
