Job summary

A leading EPC Contractor in the UK is seeking an experienced M&E Site Supervisor to oversee mechanical and electrical works on HV substation projects across South West England and South Wales. The ideal candidate will possess relevant supervisory experience, SSSTS, and a valid safety passport. This role requires a full UK driving license due to travel. Opportunities exist for those keen to advance in the electricity transmission sector.

Overview

Role: M&E Site Supervisor (HV Substations)

Locations: South West England / South Wales

Turner Lovell are recruiting for M&E Site Supervisors to join a 1billion+ turnover EPC Contractor in the electricity and renewable energy sector. Having secured multi-year framework agreements, they are expanding the team to deliver turnkey HV substation projects ranging from 20m to 150m across the UK. Our client is seeking an experienced M&E Site Supervisor to join their Electricity Transmission team and support the delivery of HV projects (up to 400 kV) across South West England & South Wales. A full UK driving license is essential due to travel requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing mechanical and electrical works across multiple sites.
  • Supporting the Site Manager to ensure health & safety, quality, and programme compliance.
  • Managing site teams, subcontractors, and resources.
  • Coordinating materials, equipment, and documentation.
  • Ensuring accurate site records and daily inspections.
  • Supporting inductions and contributing to a proactive safety culture.
Requirements
  • SSSTS and a valid safety passport (CSCS/CPCS/ECITB).
  • Experience supervising M&E works, ideally on utility or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Good IT skills, especially with Microsoft 365.
  • Willingness to travel across the region.
