A leading renewable energy company in the UK is seeking an M&E Estimator & Contracting Specialist to prepare estimates for construction site set-up and electromechanical works for HV substation projects. This role involves analyzing customer specifications, managing RFQs, and collaborating with subcontractors. Candidates should have a qualification in Electrical Engineering, around 5 years of relevant experience, and a strong understanding of health and safety protocols. As part of the construction department the M&E estimator & contracting specialist is responsible for the preparation of estimates for the construction site set‑up and electromechanical works in HV substation projects during the tender phase.
The role is responsible for the technical and organisational aspect of RFQs with the potential site subcontractors.
Within the tender team the role analyses customer specification on general site and installation topics, checks data received from engineering for coherence on installation aspects and estimates the means required for the site set‑up & M&E works to achieve Safety, Quality, Cost & Delay targets defined by the tender leader.
Reports to the GSI Construction lead and participates in the function’s objectives.
Internal: Tendering team Engineering Site & Construction Managers.
External: Subcontractor customer.
