M&A Manager – KPMG Corporate Finance

Responsibilities
- Manage M&A projects (reporting into Associate Director/Director/Partner), acting as the day‑to‑day point of contact for clients.
- Actively manage client interfaces, taking responsibility for all phases of the transaction cycle and deal execution.
- Lead and manage the delivery of marketing documentation, pitch materials and client proposals.
- Direct and manage junior colleagues, analysts and support staff on M&A transactions, including reviewing their work.
- Coach and contribute to the development of junior team members.
- Set, monitor and control M&A project budgets, billing and other reporting requirements.
- Take responsibility for, and proactively assist business development efforts, including pitching for new work.

Qualifications
- Relevant corporate finance experience in an investment bank, property consultancy, Big 4 or mid‑tier or private equity firm.
- Significant transactional experience with a demonstrable track record of deal execution across all phases of the deal lifecycle from origination through to completion, particularly sell‑side transactions.
- Ideally experience of working on transactions involving private equity.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to work on a range of projects simultaneously to demanding timetables.
- Personal drive and integrity to deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Commitment to high quality standards and a detail‑oriented approach.
- Independent thinker with the ability to identify problems and contribute to the development of solutions.
- Comfortable discussing financially related commercial issues.
- Financial modelling including LBO & DCF analysis.
- Strong academic background.
- Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Personable team player with the ability to create confidence and trust with both colleagues and clients.
- Able to build and develop strong relationships with clients and multipliers in the market.
