Overview

Maternity Cover - A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our team at the Crossways Federation as a member of our lunchbreak supervisor team. This post will commence November 3rd 2025 and will end on the postholders return. We are looking for someone who will enjoy working with children and who will be an enthusiastic, positive and proactive member of the lunchbreak supervisor team. 6 hrs 15 mins per week. 11.50 – 1.05pm Monday - Friday, term time only.

  • An individual who is flexible and enjoys the challenge of responding to meet the needs of the pupils. Exhibit a calm and reassuring manner
  • Be passionate about making a difference to every child.
  • Value a team working approach and be keen to contribute and share their skills with colleagues
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build on and maintain strong relationships with staff, parents and carers, children, governors and the local and wider community.
  • Be punctual and reliable
Main Responsibilities
  • To support the full care of the children encourage children to eat their lunch including understanding and adhering to the systems when children have dietary requirements.
  • Ensure acceptable standards of behaviour are maintained.
  • Assist in setting up and tidying away play/activity equipment.
  • Administering basic first aid and recording incidents in the first aid book as appropriate and provide necessary correspondence to the parent/carer.
