Overview

Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using computer equipment and GPS to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy. Oversee vehicle condition and perform inspections and brake adjustments.

Responsibilities
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments.
  • Perform pre‑trip, en route and post‑trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
Qualifications & Credentials

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma.

Experience: Will train.

  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
