The University of West of Scotland is recruiting for a Hub Assistant to join our Student Services team at our London Campus. The successful candidate will be a vital link between the student and how students access the University’s broader departments and services. This will involve working closely with staff at all levels across academic and professional service teams, taking student queries via the London Hub and seeing them through to a successful conclusion. The postholder will have a varied workload such as managing email inboxes and workflow systems, where they will directly assist students, while also helping triage and signpost students to access the relevant services they require such as Counselling, Timetabling, Finance, Registry, etc. They will also take part in the ongoing review of systems and processes to ensure efficiency improvements are made. There will be peak times throughout the year that the London Hub Assistant will be required to help with core university events such as Induction and Graduation. During these peak times, workloads can increase significantly, and they will be required to take on ad hoc tasks as required.
