We are looking for a Network Logistics Technician to come and support the Network Construction Team to successfully complete large scale Mains renewal scheme activity as allocated within the regional area.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the timely, safe, and compliant delivery of specific construction plant, equipment and materials onsite as required by the Network Construction team.
  • Provide continuous support and delivery of materials such as pipes and fittings, transported in lighter goods vehicles (not HGV’s).
  • Responsible for effective stock management of materials and fittings, maintaining appropriate stock levels, and keeping kit and equipment safe and in good order.
  • Work a -hour week, Monday to Friday, starting at : AM and ending at : PM, with a half-hour early finish on Fridays.
  • Order and deliver plant, specialist tools and equipment as required and manage chlorination and delivery of coiled pipe.
  • Perform daily and ad-hoc tasks to ensure warehouse operations run smoothly, including operation of heavy plant lifting equipment, housekeeping duties, data entry for stock control, and inspections on vehicles, mobile plant, and office/workspace.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders; support Construction Teams with service laying when required; and be responsible for safety of site, operatives, customers, public and environment.
What you’ll Bring to the Role
  • Experience in a logistics role, ideally on Mains Renewal schemes; NCO Qualification and/or utilities background are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and stakeholder skills; ability to make prompt, clear decisions; ability to work in a high-pressure environment and multitask.
  • Onsite construction work capability; knowledge of transportation and delivery of materials and equipment; accountability for safety on site, with operatives, customers, public and environment.
  • Full driving licence (travel required).
  • Right character, positivity and caring attitude; willingness to engage and contribute.
