Job description

The post holder will provide support and assistance to Healthcare Professionals within all areas of the Trust. The role will be to work under the direction of the Logistics Team Leader and are primarily concerned with the movement of goods and services in the most efficient and effective way, using the correct lifting and handling equipment.

The post holder will be responsible for providing a high quality service from designated destinations as directed, maintaining high standards of service delivery and ensuring the safety and well‑being of patients, staff and visitors at all times. They will be responsible for ensuring the electric vehicle meets the daily demands of this service.

To adopt a caring and friendly manner at all times., Responsible for ensuring all the hospitals entrances are kept clean and free from debris, including the removal of all types of waste materials i.e., cardboard, glass, clinical and confidential waste, and sharps.

Respond to all out of hour's requests from Medical Equipment Library for the delivery and collection of all medical equipment.

A basic knowledge of Health & Safety is required in order to correctly complete incident forms and report any untoward incidents to Team Leaders.

Clear all corridors, wards and departments of empty cardboard boxes, glass, sharps, clinical, domestic and food waste, and place in the designated containers.
