Overview

Job Specification - Logistics Broker

Location: Leicester

Salary: £34,000 (rising to £38,000 after probation) + up to £100 weekly bonus (c. £5k per annum), potential total earnings up to £43,200

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

The Role

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Logistics Broker to join our growing team in Leicester. This is a pivotal role, working closely with existing customers and transport subcontractors while also developing new business relationships to help drive the company's growth.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing haulier partners.
  • Regularly review haulier and subcontractor performance.
  • Bring new hauliers, subcontractors, and customers into the business.
  • Allocate and resource daily loads, achieving the best possible margins.
  • Schedule deliveries to ensure they meet customer expectations.
  • Monitor delivery performance and promptly communicate any delays.
  • Work to agreed targets and operational KPIs.
  • Ensure all data is accurately maintained within the TMS system.

Bonus Structure

In addition to salary progression, you will benefit from a structured bonus scheme worth up to £5,000 per annum, based on:

  • Meeting and exceeding load count capacity.
  • Achieving and surpassing an average weekly Gross Profit (GP) trigger of 15%.

Total potential earnings: up to £43,200 per annum.
