A community-focused healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow to cover a 9-month maternity leave. The successful candidate will join the urology team with expertise in flexible cystoscopy and inguinal-scrotal surgery. Responsibilities include managing a major workload in core urology, attending oncology meetings, and participating in teaching. Applicants must have a relevant medical qualification and be eligible for full GMC registration. This role supports a diverse and integrated care system.

We are a training centre for nurses, midwives and allied health professionals. Expertise in core urology surgery would be essential. The candidates will be expected to perform flexible cystoscopy, JJ stent insertion and inguinal-scrotal without supervision.
The successful applicant will work within the urology team. There will be a major commitment to "core" urology including outpatient clinics, main theatre and day surgery operating lists, flexible cystoscopy lists and trans-rectal prostate biopsy lists.
Attendance at the weekly oncology MDT meeting, bi-monthly continence MDT is expected.
The urologists work a 1:8 rota with prospective cover. The on-call duties cover in-patients in both sites and A & E in QEH site only (UHL A&E still covered by GSTT).
There is a regular morbidity and mortality meeting which all members of the department are expected to attend. The post-holder will be expected to participate in teaching of medical students, foundation doctors and core surgical and specialist trainees
