Job description
Perfect Household Staff

Perfect Household Staff are pleased to present a wonderful opportunity for an experienced and nurturing Governess to join a private family based near Bicester, Oxfordshire. The role centres around the educational development and well‑being of two children aged 13 and 6, in a warm and caring household that values education, structure, and emotional support.

The family live within easy reach of Oxford — a historic and culturally rich city known for its world‑class schools and academic excellence. The successful candidate will work closely with the family to provide consistent guidance, educational mentoring, and gentle behavioural support, particularly for the eldest child. The Governess will also assist with coordination of extracurricular activities and school routines.

This is a permanent, full‑time live‑in role. The family will provide comfortable private accommodation within a rented four‑bedroom property in Oxfordshire. The environment will be supportive and respectful, ideal for a professional who enjoys working independently while maintaining a positive and structured atmosphere for children.

Working as a Governess in this position will involve supporting both children in their academic and personal growth. The role requires an experienced professional with a background in private education or high‑level childcare. You will be expected to liaise with teachers, assist with homework, implement structured routines, and promote positive manners and social development.

As the family live in the countryside, a driving licence is essential for school drop‑offs, pick‑ups, and extracurricular activities. The family will provide a car for professional use if required.
