Job description

A well-established and respected law firm based in Yeovil is seeking to recruit an experienced Litigation Solicitor with 3 years’ post-qualification experience or more to join its growing litigation team.

The Role:

The successful candidate will manage a varied and high-quality caseload of contentious matters, providing clear, practical advice to a diverse client base. The role offers a high degree of autonomy alongside the support of an experienced and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handling a broad range of litigation matters, which may include:
    • Civil and commercial disputes
    • Contractual claims
    • Property and landlord & tenant disputes
    • Debt recovery
    • Professional negligence claims
  • Managing files from inception through to resolution, including court proceedings where necessary
  • Drafting pleadings, correspondence, and legal documentation
  • Conducting negotiations and alternative dispute resolution
  • Attending hearings, mediations, and client meetings
  • Maintaining a high standard of client care and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Contributing to business development and the firm’s profile within the local market
  • Supervising and mentoring junior fee earners where appropriate
Candidate Requirementsh3>
  • Qualified Solicitor / Legal Executive

  • Strong technical knowledge of civil procedure and dispute resolution
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision
