Location: Batley, WF17 5JE

Working Hours: Weekend Days – Sat & Sun 7am-7pm

Payrates: Weekend Days - £16.92 per hour

Contract type: Full time, perm (paid monthly)

About the role:

To provide leadership and guidance to all shop floor colleagues on shift in the process department. Responsible for delivering KPI’s in terms of safety, food safety, quality, cost and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing a team of up to 20 at any one time
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Plan and implement line improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Develop team members and share good practices.
  • Achieve daily and annual compliance results.
  • Manage resources (labour, materials, equipment).
  • Lead improvement projects and training.
  • Control web stocks, budget, and cleaning schedules.
  • Reduce changeover times and ensure process capability.
  • Handle holiday bookings and provide cover for other leaders.
  • Make quick technical and HR decisions, escalating issues when necessary.
