Overview

LIFT ENGINEER

Our client is a highly regarded, well established independent lift company based in Bromley (Kent) carrying out maintenance, new installations and modernisation. Most work is based within the M25. The company prides itself on ISO9001 and ISO45001 accreditation.

Position: Service/Repair/Callout/Fault finding engineer London. Must not live more than 1 hour from central London.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out servicing/repairs/call outs in the London area (90% central London).
  • Call out rota: 1 week in 3, starting 5pm Monday until 8am following Monday.
  • Con/Change/Fuel/Parking costs paid by the company, managed via phone.
  • Phone/PDA supplied for company use only.
  • Full company uniform supplied including PPE.
  • Stand-by money for call out week: £220 in addition to salary.
  • Call out pay: £70 per call on weekdays, £90 on weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • Overtime rate: 1.1/3 weekdays, 1.1/2 weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • Overtime required: servicing one Saturday per month (shared).
Qualifications
  • Minimum NVQ 3 with at least 7 years' experience.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must have good communication skills.
Salary & Benefits
  • Starting salary of £45-55K subject to experience.
  • Wages paid on the last Friday of the month (no month in hand).
  • 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.

  • A van will be provided for all company usage only (full clean licence required).

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am–5pm.
