Responsibilities
  • Deliver quality library services as the key front‑line post across Calderdale’s 12 libraries.
  • Engage the community through digital services, social experiences, lifelong learning, and a warm welcome for everyone.
  • Support the Warm Welcome scheme, helping residents with the cost‑of‑living crisis.
  • Manage computerised systems, public computer facilities, Wi‑Fi, wireless printing, scanning and digital books – assisting customers to use these resources.
  • Work flexibly across sites, including lone working, key holding, building responsibilities and cash management.
  • Participate in promotional activities to keep libraries relevant to local communities.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience working with the public in a library or customer service environment (paid or voluntary).
  • Literate and numerate, with a good general level of education.
  • Experience of working with computerised systems and of using online services.
