Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent required.
  • Experience with light commercial vehicles or HGVs essential.
  • Full UK, Irish, or EU Manual Driving Licence necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out service, repairs, and maintenance on light commercial vehicles.
  • Inspect and diagnose vehicle engines and components.
  • Conduct Video Vehicle Health Checks and manage paperwork.

Job Role : LGV / LCV Technician

Location : Chorley

Pay : £18.50 per hour

Hours : Monday-Friday -8am -5pm -30 minute break

Overtime paid at x 1.5

LGV / LCV Technician opportunity

My client is a fleet maintenance company based in Chorley who have been established for over 30 years, they are looking for skilled LGV / LCV Technicians to join their ever growing team.

About your new LGV / LCV Technician role :

Carrying out service, repairs, and maintenance to high standards on light commercial vehicles

Inspecting and carrying out basic diagnosis vehicle checks on engines and mechanical / electrical components using manufacture diagnostic equipment

Carrying out Video Vehicle Health Checks and ensuring paperwork is accurate and up to date

Ensuring work is carried out efficiently to meet time-frames and that a high level of productivity is maintained.

Engaging with manufacture training to keep up to date with the latest level of new models and technology

To maintain high standards and quality of work to help us deliver a 'Right First Time' experience to our customers

The successful LGV / LCV Technician will require :
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with HGVs or LCVs
  • A Full UK / Irish / EU Manual Driving Licence
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach and a passion for vehicle maintenance
