Overview

Key Details: Hours: 40 hours/week which is subject to change after probation. Location: The nursery is in the centre of Wimbledon, just 5 minutes away from the main train station. Main responsibility: To assist the room supervisor with the daily running of the room and contribute to planning and running activities that will provide a stimulating home from home environment and promote early learning.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute active learning sessions that will promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Support your colleagues in the planned activities.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records to inform future planning and development.
  • Uphold our quality of care within the nursery to ensure that all children are nurtured in a positive environment.
  • Communicate with carers during handover to develop and maintain strong partnerships with parents/carers.
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures and undertake a shared responsibility for cleanliness, health and safety throughout the nursery.
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by your room leader.
