Vacancy for Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Salary

Grade 5 - £15,073 (Actual annual salary)

Hours

26 hours a week to be worked 8.30-2.30 , Monday to Friday

38 weeks a year

This is a role with an opportunity to make a real difference to the learning and progress of our pupils, working to provide one-to-one and group support and teaching. You will be adapting teaching resources, thinking of new ways to learn, being fun and creative in your approach and adaptable to children's needs.

Our Teaching Assistants are highly valued in our school - you will work closely with our SENDCo and SEND team to provide our children with the best possible educational opportunities. An element of your duties will also include preparation of fantastic teaching resources/class displays.

The ideal candidate
  • Will possess GCSE English & Maths Grade C (4/5) or above or equivalent
  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEND of behavior needs would be beneficial.
  • Possess outstanding communication skills and can work well in a team
  • Good at developing children’s self-esteem and motivation so that they become resilient, independent learners
  • An understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
