About us

Pixies Pre-School Ltd is a small family-run preschool in Takeley near Bishop's Stortford. We are social, friendly and fun team. Our goal is to provide the children with the care and skills they need to be ready to start school. Hours will be 9am until 3pm, 2-3 days a week.

We are seeking a Level 2 or 3 childcare practitioner that is driven, friendly individual with a background in early years education to join our team. The successful candidate for this position will be able to provide input and ideas for activities and curriculum, implement lesson plans and work in close coordination with the other early years practitioners, preschool manager and parents to support the progression of child learning over time.

Responsibilities

Create a play-based learning environment that is developmentally appropriate for young children. Create a warm, safe, nurturing environment for the children. Engage the children in activities that promote physical, emotional, and developmental growth in a warm safe environment. Prepare children for school. Ensure child safety. Take an active role in the professional development of other educators. Communicate with parents and caretakers of children. We are a pack away preschool so the job is physically demanding as we pack everything away at the end of each day.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 18 per week
