Job summary

Serco Group, on behalf of Leisure Solutions Community Trust, is seeking a Duty Manager for Loughborough Leisure Centre. The role is permanent part-time, 16 hours per week, with evening and weekend rota flexibility.

You’ll oversee daily operations, ensure safety and high standards, and support staff development. A valid NPLQ is required, with PPO and First Aid at Work desirable; DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory or management experience in leisure, hospitality or customer-facing settings.
• Hold a valid NPLQ; PPO and First Aid at Work are desirable.
• DBS/ safeguarding checks are part of the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Manager and leadership team in daily leisure centre operations.
• Manage shifts to keep a safe, efficient and welcoming environment.
• Lead lifeguarding, housekeeping and facility standards across the centre.
• Investigate incidents and coordinate follow-up actions when required.
• Support colleague training, induction and development to maintain service levels.
• Drive continuous improvement through stock control, rota planning and excellence.
