About the role

Haringey has now brought its leisure centres back in-house and is reshaping the service around a broader wellbeing offer.

This is a pivotal moment to help shape a newly insourced leisure service, embed its delivery, and lead its ongoing development.

In this role, you will be responsible for two flagship sites with swimming pools — including the iconic Park Road Lido - plus a sports centre and a smaller community gym.

As the Leisure Centres Area Manager, you will play a crucial role in service delivery, acting as the main point of contact for all General Managers and wider staff teams.

About the team

You will join the Leisure Management Team, reporting to the Head of Active Wellbeing.

Now that the insourcing is complete, you will be responsible for up to 100 staff across four sites.

This is a great opportunity to lead and develop your operational team to ensure the newly integrated service continues to meet the needs of our residents through excellent customer care and well-managed facilities.

About you

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leisure professional to join our Leisure Management team.

You must have a proven track record in the leisure industry and be able to lead and motivate a large operational workforce across multiple sites.

You will inspire a culture of excellent customer services and create centres that are inclusive and welcoming.

You must be able to work with and influence a wide range of people and partners to get things done and ensure compliance with health and safety.

You need to be ready for what could be the most challenging and transforming role of your career!
