Job Description
  • Provide legal support and advice to bid, commercial and procurement teams
  • Drafting and advising on complex commercial contracts and matters arising from the same, including potential and actual disputes
  • Advising on and supporting the development of internal business processes as well as supporting the implementation of and monitoring adherence to compliance programmes
  • Legal reporting in accordance with internal governance requirements
  • Creating, maintaining and updating template legal documents, taking into account changes in business, legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Provide support and advice to internal customers on contract negotiation, management and dispute resolution
  • Deliver training to our bid, commercial and procurement colleagues
The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

  • A recognised qualification to practise law in the UK
  • 2-3 years PQE either from either private practice or in-house.
  • Experience handling legal matters within the industrial, manufacturing or defence sector
  • Strong expertise in commercial law and contract negotiation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
