A UK educational institution is seeking a Lecturer in Landscape & Horticulture to join their Greenspace and Creative Design team. The role involves delivering a mix of practical and classroom-based teaching while helping students build confidence and develop technical skills. The lecturer will also play a key role in course management and assessments. Candidates should have a background in horticulture or landscaping; teaching experience is not mandatory. This position offers a generous holiday allowance, CPD opportunities, and flexible working arrangements.
About the role
Do you have a strong background in landscape, horticulture or greenspace professions, and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others? Are you someone who values practical, hands on learning and wants to support students as they develop the skills they need for a successful career in the sector? If so, this could be a great opportunity for you. We are looking for a Lecturer in Landscape & Horticulture to join our Greenspace and Creative Design team. In this role, you’ll deliver a mix of practical and classroom based teaching across a range of horticulture and landscape programmes. You’ll help students build confidence, develop technical competence, and gain a real understanding of industry expectations — from plant science and garden design to practical skills and horticultural practice. As part of the role, you’ll also contribute to course management, support learners through tutorials, and take an active role in assessment, internal verification and maintaining accurate progression records. You’ll work closely with colleagues to create an inspiring learning environment and ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Whether you already have teaching experience or are a skilled horticulture/landscape professional looking to take the next step, we will support you with training and development, including the opportunity to work towards a teaching qualification if required.
