Overview

Lecturer in HVACR (on-site)

Variable hours for 38 weeks a year. £28.58 to £43.22 per hour (includes an enhancement in lieu of annual leave).

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the teaching team within the Netzero Skills Centre at Suffolk New College. Our growing provision for Green Skills includes a demand from local employers to work together to train the next generation of technicians and engineers that can survey, plan, cost, fit, commission, maintain and service systems that control climates in residential and commercial premises. Responsibilities
  • Contribute to delivery and assessment of HVACR-related teaching as part of the Netzero Skills Centre.
  • Share industry knowledge and real-world experience with learners.
  • Support learners to survey, plan, cost, fit, commission, maintain and service climate-control systems in buildings.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience working in the HVACR industry and on-site, with the ability to translate industry knowledge to learners.
  • We actively welcome applicants from a non-teaching background who wish to move into teaching and are prepared to develop teaching skills with the College support.
  • Willingness to travel between Suffolk New College campuses as required.

This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich. Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site; therefore, you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
