Lecturer in Health – Worksop, Nottinghamshire. Hours: Full time (37hrs per week, all year round). Duration: Permanent. Salary: Up to £32,199 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications) plus benefits. Location: North Notts College, Worksop.

Within this role the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding teaching and assessment in Levels 1‑5 Health & Social Care. With an enthusiastic and engaging approach, you will motivate students and support them to achieve their potential. The role of lecturer is to equip students with skills for their future through the delivery of excellent education and training and to inspire them to achieve their potential every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent teaching, including relevant preparation and marking.
  • Set SMART targets to enable students to reach their potential.
  • Develop creative resources to inspire outstanding learning.
  • Monitor and track learner progress to promote positive outcomes.
  • Use combined methods of practical, theoretical and digital approaches to bring the subject to life.
  • Work effectively with colleagues and management to achieve strategic and organisational objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Hold a vocational qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification and assessors award, or be willing to work towards one.
  • Hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths, or be willing to work towards one.
  • Be an effective and motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
