A national recruitment agency is seeking Foundation Learning/Learning Support Tutors to join a college in Lancashire. This temporary role involves carrying out initial assessments, managing caseloads of learners with SEND, and collaborating with teachers to ensure effective support strategies. The candidate will work 24 hours per week, with potential for extension. A DBS on the update service is required.

Role: Foundation Learning/Learning Support Tutors
Location: Lancashire
Rate: 25 - 30 per hour
Type: Temporary

Eden Brown have an exciting opportunity for Temporary Foundation Learning/Learning Support Tutors to make a real difference at a college in Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initial Assessments: Carry out initial assessments of learning support needs and create tailored support plans for teachers and support staff, recommending strategies to improve student learning.
• Collaborative Support: Work closely with teachers and support staff across the college to ensure support strategies are implemented effectively.
• Caseload Management: Manage a caseload of learners with EHCPs and SEND, providing both in‑class and out‑of‑class support. Offer interventions in areas such as social skills, literacy and numeracy, emotional literacy, anxiety, and wellbeing.
• Impact Tracking: Maintain detailed learner records to track the effectiveness of support and interventions, ensuring measurable progress.
• Assess, Plan, Do, Review: Contribute to the assessment, planning, and review process, including annual reviews of learner's progress and needs.
• Teaching Duties: Carry out teaching duties as timetabled, ensuring a holistic approach to supporting learners.

• Experience working with learners who have SEND or EHCPs.
• Strong understanding of support strategies for a variety of needs (social skills, emotional literacy, numeracy, etc.).
• Ability to manage a caseload of learners and track their progress effectively.
• Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across teams to deliver excellent support.
• A passion for education and making a positive impact on learner's lives.

Hours & Duration:

24 hours per week, spread across 5 days.
Ongoing temporary role, with the possibility of extension.

A DBS on the update service will be needed for this role.
