A further education college in Cambridge is seeking a Learning Support Mentor in Health and Personal Care to help young learners achieve their educational goals. This role involves adapting resources and providing support in therapy interventions while promoting social inclusion. Candidates should have at least GCSE Grade C in English and Maths and experience working with individuals with special educational needs. A full-time position with several benefits is offered.
Cambridge Regional College are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Mentor - Health and Personal Care to join Creative Industry department across our Cambridge Campus. You will join us on a full time (37 hours), term time only basis and will receive a salary of £20,436 per annum (equivalent to a full year salary of £23,519 per annum).
You will work with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of young people while promoting their social inclusion, self-esteem and independence.
You will get the opportunity to support students in all vocational areas of the college and assist them to access the curriculum, participate in learning and fulfil their potential.
You will need to be able to use your own initiative while out in support of learners, dealing with situations with tact and empathy.
The need to be flexible in your approach is imperative.
You will need to be qualified to GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and ideally have experience of working with people with SEND.
