Overview

Seeking a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Harlow.

You will join a great team that predominantly work with children who have a variety of special needs, including MLD, SLD, ASD and PMLD. A desire to assist in this area is required, but no experience is necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with a range of needs, building positive relationships and rapport with individual children.
  • Contribute to a friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Work as part of a team to support students during a full-time, long-term role (5 days a week, 8:30am–3:30pm).
Qualifications and Skills
  • Desire to work with children and/or vulnerable adults with special needs; healthcare or social care background or personal experience with SEND is welcome.
  • Friendly and positive approach; ability to quickly establish good relationships with pupils.
  • Certificates in Manual Handling, Hoist, First Aid, or Care are admired.
