Learning Support Assistant (SEN) – Wimbledon

Link Education is currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a specialist SEN school in Wimbledon, supporting students aged 11–18 years.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a caring and confident individual who holds BSL Level 1 or 2, is comfortable supporting personal care, and is happy to support students in a swimming pool environment as part of their learning and therapy programmes.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEN
  • Support communication using British Sign Language
  • Assist students with personal care where required
  • Support and supervise students during swimming sessions, including entering the pool where necessary
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to follow individual education plans
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
Essential Requirements
  • BSL Level 1 or Level 2
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Willingness and confidence to support personal care
  • Comfortable getting into a swimming pool to support students
  • Patient, flexible, and empathetic approach
