Learning Support Assistant in Schools

Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our School’s Department at Berkshire College of Agriculture on a Term-Time Only basis.

The Learning Support Assistant in Schools position at Berkshire College of Agriculture is a part‑time role, offering 21 hours per week on a term-time only basis working 38 term-time weeks per year. The salary for this role is on support pay scale G16 £11,667.22 up to G19 £12,967.66 (£24,098 up to £26,784 FTE).

Our Schools Provision Department works with students referred by local secondary schools who need additional specialist support with a variety of SEN requirements. The goal of the department is to assist these students in fully accessing the curriculum and attaining positive outcomes.

As a Learning Support Assistant in Schools you will be a crucial part of enabling our college to deliver this curriculum by engaging in 1:1 and small group support, assisting in the delivery of a structured and planned learning support programme. You will ensure that students engage in all aspects of college life and work towards their desired outcomes, learning goals and to achieve their full potential.

To be considered for this role you must be available to work 08:30 to 15:30 Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week on campus. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or a Level 3 in Supporting Special Educational Needs is desirable but not essential for this role.
