A leading educational institution in the UK is seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant to help students achieve their learning goals in a supportive environment. The role involves working closely with educators, assisting in the delivery and planning of learning activities, and providing emotional and pastoral support to students with varying needs. The position of Learning Support Assistant – Foundation involves enabling students to access the curriculum as fully as possible, supporting them to work towards their desired outcomes, achieving their learning goals and potential.
Please note that the working hours for this position are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on Friday.
To work under the direction and supervision of the Curriculum Director, Programme Manager and lecturers to assist with teaching, learning and associated activities in accordance with college policies, procedures and individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP). This may include supporting whole classes; working with individuals and small groups of learners; assisting with planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities; working closely with pastoral and welfare staff in supporting students to overcome learning, physical or emotional boundaries.
