Job description

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at BCA College, primarily supporting students aspiring to work in the Early Years sector. This permanent position involves working 37 hours per week, term time only, for 37 weeks of the year.

The role pays from G16 £20,015.81 up to £22,246.80 (the full time equivalent would be G16 £24,098 up to G19 £26,784).

Responsibilities
  • Mainly support students who want to work in the Early Years sector to develop the skills, attributes and behaviours needed to progress to further study and employment.
  • Guide them through classroom theory and help them apply this knowledge in practical sessions.
  • Assist with teaching, learning and associated activities in accordance with college policies, procedures and individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
  • Support whole classes; work with individuals and small groups of learners; assist with planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities; work closely with pastoral and welfare staff in supporting students to overcome learning, physical or emotional boundaries.
