Supply Desk is delighted to partner with a dedicated SEN school in Hemel Hempstead to recruit a passionate and committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a full‑time, long‑term position starting in February 2026.

The Role:

You will work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to deliver tailored support across Key Stage 1. Your responsibilities will align with your experience and the specific needs of the students, providing you with a fulfilling and impactful role.

Key Duties:
  • Deliver targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and emotional development.
  • Support the implementation, monitoring, and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage active participation in lessons.
  • Develop strong, supportive relationships with pupils, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Adapt learning materials and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to the class teacher.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school or special educational needs (SEN) setting.
  • Calm, empathetic, and proactive attitude with a genuine passion for supporting children s learning.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff and parents.
