Learning Mentor – New Barn School, Welford RG20 8HZ

Salary: £23,638 per year (not pro rata)/£13.25p/h | Hours: 40/week, Mon-Fri | Start: December 2025 / January 2026 | Permanent | Term Time Only | UK applicants only (no sponsorship) | Earn £1,000 if you refer a friend who joins us! (T&Cs apply)

Role Overview

As a Learning Mentor, you will support pupils with complex SEND and SEMH needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and feel safe, understood, and empowered.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare learning materials and guide pupils through classroom activities
  • Deliver hands‑on, personalised support
  • Work closely with teachers to embed a therapeutic, pupil‑centred approach
  • Help every student thrive academically and emotionally
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience in the SEMH or SEN sector (highly desirable)
  • Experience supporting pupils with ASC is a real advantage
  • Enthusiastic, resilient, and genuinely passionate about helping young people flourish
