A public safety organization in London is seeking a Learning & Development Head of Operations. About The Team
The Learning and Development (L&D) department is a busy and dynamic team with the overarching purpose of supporting the City of London Police strategic aims and objectives by developing an innovative, skilled and agile workforce in a culture that supports inclusivity and empowers our people.
About The Role
To manage L&D business operations effectively by ensuring effective business delivery. To develop and lead the business function of the department, liaising closely with Finance and Human Resources and internal and external partners, and leading Procurement, Administration and other resource management. To lead on priority areas including the development of an Income Generation Strategy and Training Needs Analysis to inform the annual Force Strategic Training Plan.
Ensuring full and effective use of resources in line with City of London Police strategy. In conjunction with finance, to construct and manage a viable budget to achieve stated force training aims (2018 budgetary responsibility in the region of £1m). Post holder will work in conjunction with the Chief Inspector L&D and report to Superintendent Professionalism and Trust. Management responsibility for Administration Team within L&D and performance output.

Selection Process
As part of the initial application process, you will be asked to evidence how your experience, skills, and knowledge demonstrate your ability to meet the person specification of the role. The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework. Applicants who fail to address the skills/knowledge/experience of the job description will not be considered.
