Job Summary

To take responsibility for both delivering and commissioning data-driven, quality and customer focused learning and development through innovative design and delivery techniques/methods focused on equipping our managers and people to reach their full potential.

Main duties of the job
  • Delivery of the full range of learning programmes within the prospectus including induction, professional skills development and management development.
  • Design and develop learning or lead projects that support our Trust/people strategy and improve staff experience, ensuring a workforce equipped with the right values, skills, knowledge and diversity to meet the needs of our patients and service users.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions to ensure the desired impact has been achieved, reporting progress to key business meetings and stakeholders.
  • Oversee and report on statutory, mandatory and compliance learning to relevant meetings and stakeholders.
  • Support and lead on wider organisational initiatives, informing future talent and skills requirements such as apprenticeships, widening participation and workforce planning.
  • Work in partnership with People and OD to shape a customer‑focused service to business units, responding to identified needs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Build effective, positive and collaborative working relationships with clinical and non‑clinical staff, subject matter experts and managers to promote and embed the learning and development agenda, providing expert advice and guidance while actively demonstrating the ICORE values.
  • Collaborate with schools, apprenticeship providers and higher education institutions as needed on projects.
  • Deliver against key workstreams within Learning and Staff Experience as directed by the Learning and Development Manager, working in partnership with colleagues across People and OD to deliver results.
  • Design, deliver learning and development initiatives/projects that demonstrate return on investment and report on progress and impact.
  • Oversee statutory, mandatory and compliance learning and report this information to relevant meetings and stakeholders.
  • Ensure a clear learning offer is available which meets the needs of our people.
  • Identify and reduce skills gaps through internal or external learning, CPD, qualifications or apprenticeships.
  • Support widening participation by coordinating an offer for placements, T‑levels and work experience, and any new widening participation initiatives as necessary.
  • Review and update processes and standard operating procedures relating to learning activities.
  • Support the Organisational Development Team with the delivery of sessions and workshops.
