Overview
This is a 12 month fixed term contract with the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship pathway.
The University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHN) operates across Kettering and Northampton sites. The role requires working across both sites as needed to meet service requirements.
Job responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the Education Prospectus and its facilitators by effectively using the organisation's systems and processes for managing and delivering learning, including data collection, training attendance, and reporting.
- Provide administrative support for all learning and development programmes, ensuring high quality course materials are produced, printed in advance and provided to the trainer as required.
- Maintain accurate administrative systems supporting L&D programmes, including updating ESR/OLM and Microsoft Excel documents to deadlines and departmental procedures.
- Deliver a high level of customer service to all stakeholders and promote Learning and Development services.
- Ensure rooms/trainers are booked ahead of programmes and that room housekeeping and reception support are provided for L&D events.
- Input and retrieve information from ESR/OLM and other L&D systems; support audits of data quality and integrity.
- Assist with stock control of stationery for PWEC and prepare learning materials to a high standard.
- Coordinate and communicate Learning and Development programmes, including Corporate Induction, Statutory and Mandatory Training, E-Learning support sessions, Leadership Programmes, Apprenticeship activities, Appraisal Workshops, and other courses as required.
- Provide cover in the absence of other L&D team members and act as an information resource on L&D matters for internal and external providers.
- Support staff and managers with advice across the range of learning and development programmes and contribute to process improvements.
- Undertake regular audits of ESR/OLM information to ensure data quality and accuracy against staff records and assignments.
Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE English and Maths grade C / 4 or above
- Evidence of working in an office environment
- Evidence of good computer skills (MS Office / databases)
Desirable
- Experience using ESR or NHS learning systems
