Job description

We have an opportunity for a Leakage Optimisation Analyst to join our Leakage Optimisation Team at Thames Water! In this role, you’ll play a vital part in monitoring leakage performance and driving improvements across our network. You’ll work closely with field teams and contractors to ensure effective targeting of leakage detection and repair activities. Using tools like Netbase, PI Vision, and Salesforce, you’ll identify issues, raise jobs, and help us deliver on our leakage reduction commitments. In addition, you’ll need to be confident working with data, validating information, and ensuring accuracy across multiple systems. Collaboration is key – you’ll work with internal teams and external partners to optimise processes and share insights that support better decision‑making.

What you’ll be doing as a Leakage Optimisation Analyst
  • Monitor DMA leakage performance and initiate corrective actions.
  • Manage and prioritise active leakage detection and repair activities.
  • Use systems such as Netbase, PI Vision, and Salesforce to identify issues and raise jobs promptly.
  • Ensure the NetAlytics Targeting process is followed for effective contractor performance management.
  • Raise and assign campaign packs to leakage detection partners.
  • Report and raise jobs for district meter and commercial logger faults to maintain DMA operability.
  • Support DMA improvement activities and escalates anomalies for investigation.
  • Assist with data optimisation to ensure accuracy across systems.
  • Occasionally deputise for the Leakage Optimisation Engineer and attend meetings.
What you should bring
  • Working knowledge of water networks or hydraulic systems (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Desire to learn and develop within Thames Water.
  • Full driving licence and own transport (desirable but not mandatory).
