Job description

Priory Hospital North London is looking to recruit a Therapy Lead to join the team. This is a full time / 37.5-hour role.

Located in London, in a peaceful and secluded part of Southgate, Priory Hospital North London is set within a striking Grade I listed building, overlooking beautiful parklands.

It's one of the UK’s leading centres for the treatment of a range of mental health difficulties, including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to the therapy team within Private Pathways, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based psychological therapies
  • Hold a reduced caseload while supporting complex assessments, treatment planning, and risk management for patients with diverse mental health needs
  • Supervise, mentor, and support therapists, promoting professional development, reflective practice, and adherence to clinical standards
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to care planning, outcome monitoring, and service development
  • Ensure compliance with clinical governance, Priory policies, and regulatory standards, supporting continuous improvement and service excellence.

The successful candidate will be a qualified and accredited therapist (e.g. HCPC, BABCP, BACP,) with significant post-qualification experience working with complex mental health presentations. You will have previous experience in a senior or supervisory role, demonstrating strong clinical leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support and develop a therapy team. Experience working within private healthcare or specialist services is desirable, alongside a sound understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding, and outcome-focused care.
