Job summary

Amey Consulting in the West Midlands seeks a Structures Engineer to support and lead a design team on diverse structures schemes. Hybrid working with shared Birmingham office space is offered, and you will mentor junior engineers while delivering projects end-to-end.

You will bring developed experience in structures, produce technically sound deliverables, and demonstrate knowledge of CDM, risk assessment, and interface management. Chartered status is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in Structures field, likely from an Assistant Engineer role or equivalent.
• Ability to produce or oversee technically sound engineering deliverables.
• Good understanding of CDM and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team and deliver technically sound engineering solutions.
• Own projects from quotation to handover.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation.
• Oversee junior staff and mentor them.
• Contribute to bids and work-winning activities.
• Engage with clients and suppliers at peer level.
• Manage a small local team and deliver workload.
• Drive health and safety practices within the team.
