Job summary

Amey is seeking a permanent Structures Engineer for our Stafford hybrid role, working in the Consulting Structures Team. The role involves close collaboration with senior engineers on diverse structures schemes and guiding junior colleagues on technical matters and scheme delivery.

You will be responsible for producing sound engineering solutions, preparing designs and documentation, and contributing to bids. Strong communication and safety leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in structural/civil engineering.
• Experience in structures projects and scheme delivery.
• Knowledge of relevant standards (DMRB, Eurocodes) and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Produce technically sound engineering solutions.
• Own and deliver projects from start to finish.
• Prepare designs, calculations, drawings, and documents for scheme deliverables.
• Mentor junior staff and support their development.
• Contribute to bids and work-winning activities.
• Drive health and safety practices within the team.
• Liaise with clients and suppliers and manage stakeholders.
