Job summary

Amey is seeking a permanent Structures Engineer to join our Consulting Structures Team in a hybrid role with shared office space at our Nottingham office, inviting applications from across the region.

You will work with Senior Engineers on a variety of structures schemes, support and guide junior staff on technical matters, and deliver designs, calculations, drawings, and documentation to meet quality, cost, and programme targets.

Qualifications

• Produce technically sound engineering solutions meeting design criteria.
• Take ownership of design delivery from start to finish.
• Ability to apply CDM and risk assessment on design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Producing technically sound engineering solutions.
• Taking ownership and supporting management and delivery of projects.
• Preparation of designs, calculations, drawings and documentation.
• Supporting junior staff and guiding them.
• Liaising with client and supplier representatives.
• Driving Health and Safety practices.
• Contributing to bids and work-winning activities.
• Involvement in sustainability practices.
• Managing multi-discipline infrastructure projects.
