Job summary

Amey is recruiting a Senior Engineer to join the Consulting Structures Team in Telford. The role is hybrid with shared offices in Nottingham, Birmingham and Telford, welcoming applications from Bridge Engineers across these regions.

As a Senior Engineer you will lead the design team, mentor juniors and take ownership from quotation to handover, delivering schemes to quality, cost and programme criteria.

Qualifications

• Developed experience and expertise within Bridges/Highways Structures field.
• Ability to produce or oversee technically sound engineering solutions meeting standards and client requirements.
• Checks deliverables to a reasonable standard; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to produce technically sound engineering solutions.
• Own and lead projects from quotation through handover.
• Oversee design calculations, drawings and documentation for scheme deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians and supervise others.
• Coordinate with client and supplier representatives and attend progress meetings.
• Drive Health and Safety practices within the team.
