Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal EIA Consultant to lead environmental assessment work across the UK across energy, infrastructure and development projects. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate stakeholders and guide bid and business development efforts.

This role offers national reach with flexible base at a UK office, contributing to the growth of our environmental team and delivering sustainable outcomes for clients and communities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in EIA, environmental consultancy or planning.
• Experience delivering EIA projects with Environmental Statements.
• Understanding of UK environmental legislation and planning policy.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholders.
• Strong report writing, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of EIAs, Environmental Statements and related documentation.
• Manage EIA projects from scoping through consent and delivery.
• Coordinate inputs from technical specialists to ensure high-quality assessments.
• Provide advice on environmental constraints and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and review environmental reports and supporting documentation.
• Advise on strategy, planning considerations and risk management.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to bids and proposals.
